Most Minuteman surge protectors feature Advanced X3 MOV (metal oxide varistor) technology. The X3 MOV offers significantly higher heat dissipation and surge energy capacity than traditional round type MOV hardware, virtually elminating the risk of fire during over voltage situations.
All MOV hardware is not created equal.
The Advanced X3 MOV surge protection hardware utilized in most Minuteman surge protection devices provides added protection against fire danger by:
