Configuration Services

Description

The ability to provide drop-in, plug-and-play power quality solutions offers our customers an efficient method for setting up their infrastructure requirements. All power installations are different and there isn’t a single solution to support an infinite number of configuration options. With Para’s custom configuration services, we can install, and pre-configure our suite of power quality products, ranging from UPS to PDUs, and deliver a product that is ready to plug-in and turn on when it arrives.

Power Cabinets – Para offers both full-height and half-height cabinets that can be custom configured with a UPS, and a suite of accessory products. The cabinets are industry-standard, four-post, enclosed cabinets for use in most IT-related rooms and closets. Base models will include a UPS with capacities ranging from 5kVA to 10kVA. From there, the configuration options are unlimited. Add additional UPS for larger capacities, extra battery packs for longer runtimes, or step-down transformers for multiple output voltage support. Accessory items such as basic or managed PDUs, communications options, custom cord and connections or bypass controls can complete the customized solution.

UPS Setup & Configuration – Configuration services are limited to hardware bundles. Para can also provide custom setup of the operation of your UPS. By customizing the programming options on the UPS, users can gain confidence in the plug-and-play operation of their UPS solution. Available customization options include:

• Input voltage settings
• Load shedding and receptacle control (shutdown, restart, sequencing of receptacles, scheduled actions)
• Managed PDU setup (receptacle shutdown and restart, sequencing of receptacles, scheduled actions)
• Output voltage settings
• SNMP communication setup (addressing, alarms and notifications, interactions with UPS alarms)
